Claims to contact MACC if did not get gov’t aid are false
CORONAVIRUS | The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) has never issued a statement that members of the public should contact the commission if they did not get government aid, as claimed in a viral message today.
The MACC denied the allegation which is believed to refer to the special Covid-19 aid announced by the government recently.
“The MACC denies the claim that the public should contact it at its toll-free number if they did not get the government assistance, as claimed in a WhatsApp message and media social today,” the statement said.
This follows the WhatsApp and social media message that claimed the commission could be contacted about the aid.
