Covid-19: 40 deaths in Indonesia, highest since March 11
CORONAVIRUS | A total of 40 deaths occurred in the last 24 hours in Indonesia due to Covid-19, the highest number since the first death was recorded on March 11.
The death toll from the pandemic virus has now increased to 280 people.
Indonesian government spokesperson on Covid-19, Achmad Yurianto said that for the period from 12 noon yesterday to 12 noon today, another 327 new cases had been recorded, making the total number of cases currently at 3,293.
Jakarta recorded the highest death toll of 142 cases, followed by West Java (40 cases), Central Java (22), Banten (20) and the rest were in the other provinces of Indonesia.
