Bursa Malaysia appoints Anad Krishnan as new non-executive director

Bursa Malaysia Bhd has appointed M Anad Krishnan as its new non-executive director starting April 23.

In an exchange filing today, it said the appointment of Anad (photo, above) as Public Interest director of Bursa Malaysia by the Minister of Finance was pursuant to Section 10(1)(a) of the Capital Markets and Services Act 2007.

The announcement was made today.

Anad has vast experience in corporate conveyancing, corporate banking laws as well as corporate litigation as he had conducted numerous trials and hearings in both the Courts of Appeal and Federal Court.

He was also an independent non-executive director of Bina Puri Holdings Bhd from May 2005 to May 2013.

The announcement came after Bursa Malaysia had conducted an internal shake-up, with Abdul Wahid Omar being appointed as its non-executive chairperson.
