Perlis tables bill to lower voting age to 18
Perlis has become the second state after Sabah to lower the voting age from 21 to 18 as well as the eligible age of electoral candidates, also from 21 to 18.
The Perlis state Constitution (Amendment) Bill 2020 tabled by Menteri Besar Azlan Man on Wednesday has obtained the support of all 14 assemblymen including from the opposition, except Ismail Kassim (BN-Tambun Tulang) who was absent from the sitting.
