The first Orang Asli to be appointed to two key USM posts

An Orang Asli, Prof Dr Bahari Belaton, has been appointed dean of the Centre for Computer Science Studies at Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM) and director of National Advanced IPv6 Centre (NAv6), to replace Prof Dr Rosni Abdullah @ Mustafa for both positions effective yesterday, May 2.

In a statement today, USM said that with the two appointments, Bahari became the first Orang Asli to be appointed as a dean and to hold the two heads of department posts simultaneously at the country's institution of higher learning...
