CORONAVIRUS | There were zero local infections reported today after a four-day resurgence of local cases.

There were four imported cases and four recoveries, bringing the total active cases to 83.

Of the imported cases, three were Malaysians, and one was a non-citizen. Six patients are under intensive care, with two needing ventilators.

No new deaths were reported.

Health Ministry director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said one of the new imported cases is from the Novgorod cluster.

Another previous case had also been traced back to the cluster as having been a close contact to the index patient.

Overall, there are five positive cases from the Novgorod cluster. He also said a total of 22 people have been screened so far and close contact tracing is still ongoing.
