Altantuya's family loses bid to obtain statements recorded by police
The High Court today dismissed an application by the family of Altantuya Shaariibuu to obtain the statements recorded from those investigated by the police to be used in a civil suit by the family.
Altantuya was a Mongolian model who was murdered in Shah Alam in 2006. Her father Shaariibuu Setev, his wife, and their two grandsons filed a RM100 million suit against two former policemen, Azilah Hadri and Sirul Azhar Umar, as well as political analyst Abdul Razak Baginda and the Malaysian government on June 4, 2007.
