1. Police and the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission conducted joint raids against Al Jazeera, Astro, and Unifi TV over Al Jazeera’s controversial documentary on Malaysia’s treatment of undocumented migrants.
2. Communications and Multimedia Minister Saifuddin Abdullah defended the raids and claimed foreigners had disparaged Malaysia’s frontliners. His response left the dismayed Seputeh MP Teresa Kok remarking that Saifuddin is a “changed man”.
3. A witness stood by his court testimony after former education minister Mahdzir Khalid denied the allegation of the witness that Mahdzir had sought kickbacks in exchange for approving a solar hybrid project for schools in Sarawak.
4. Former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak insisted that none of the RM42 million involved in the SRC International trial had been for “personal use”, but had instead been used for welfare initiatives and corporate social responsibility activities.

7. The Election Commission has welcomed suggestions from NGOs that the commission should be given the power to enforce laws against election offences.
8. Parti Bersatu Sabah is looking to contest 30 out of 73 available seats in the coming Sabah state election and is in the process of finalising its list of candidates.
9. Sarawak DAP chief Chong Chieng Jen urged the government to reduce the ceiling price for single-use three-ply face masks to pre-pandemic levels of RM0.80 apiece, claiming that the supply chain for the masks has normalised since the beginning of the Covid-19 outbreak.
