Customs Dept overpays RM4.38m in GST refunds - audit report

The audit conducted on the Royal Malaysian Customs Department has found that it has overpaid refunds on Goods and Services Tax (GST) amounting to RM4.38 million.

Hence, the National Audit Department has asked the Customs Department to conduct an investigation into companies that had made the claims and Customs officer responsible for the tax refunds.
