This article is 4 years old

COVID-19 | The National Security Council has placed three more Sabah districts under stay-at-home orders to curb the spread of Covid-19.

The affected districts which will go under lockdown at 12am on Wednesday (Oct 7) are Kota Kinabalu, Penampang, and Putatan.

In terms of necessities, essential services - including factories and those involved in the supply chain - are allowed to continue operations.

Dawn-to-dusk (6am to 6pm) rules have been imposed for the business hours of restaurants, food stalls, convenience shops, petrol stations, and pharmacies.

Dine-in customers are prohibited.

All markets, except pasar harian (6am to 2pm), are not allowed to open.

In terms of travel, during this period, only Sabahans are allowed to enter any parts of the state.

A maximum of two people can travel together to shop for supplies. Taxis and e-hailing cars can only ferry two passengers.

Those working outside of the affected districts are not allowed to leave.

Questions can be posed to the Sabah Disaster Management operations centre at 088-369434.

Just a week ago, the authorities had enforced similar stay-at-home orders in the districts of Tawau, Semporna, Kunak, and Lahad Datu.

Other Sabah districts with double-digit active cases are Papar (28) and Sandakan (22).
