RESIDENCES

- Danau Kota Flats, Setapak, Kuala Lumpur

The separate management bodies handling different blocks of the apartment complex have each made separate announcements today regarding Covid-19 cases affecting the buildings under their care.

The affected blocks are Block A, Block C, and Block E, where one resident in each block tested positive.


MEDICAL FACILITIES

- Teoh & Cheah Clinic, Taman Paramount, Selangor

According to a tweet by Selangor state assemblyperson Lim Yi Wei, an individual suspected of dengue had visited the clinic before being referred to a hospital where the person was later tested positive for Covid-19.

The Kampung Tunku representative said clinic staff had since taken swab tests for Covid-19 and were found negative of the virus.

The doctor and nurses who attended to the positive patient are now under self-quarantine.


BUSINESSES

- Maybank Equine Park Branch, Seri Kembangan, Selangor

In a notice dated Nov 3, the bank stated that an employee had come into close contact with a Covid-19 person under investigation (PUI).

It stressed that this, however, happened at an external location and not within the bank branch premises.

The branch was closed temporarily on Nov 3 and Nov 4. When contacted this morning, the bank said that it has reopened for business today.


EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS 

- SK Paya Keladi, Kepala Batas, Penang

The state Education Department has ordered the school to close for a week until Nov 11 after a student was tested positive Covid-19, according to a Bernama report.

It quoted the department director Abdul Rashid Abdul Samad, who said that the case involves a Year 6 student.

- SMK Tunku Abdul Rahman, Mergong, Kedah

A student has tested positive for Covid-19 and is part of the Bayan cluster in Penang, reported Utusan Malaysia. Yesterday the cluster recorded 14 new cases, bringing the total to 92 cases.

Close contacts have been identified and the school will close until next Monday (Nov 9).

- SK Bandar Baru Sintok, Kubang Pasu, Kedah

A student has tested positive for Covid-19 and this case is also part of the Bayan cluster in Penang, reported Utusan Malaysia. 

The school will shut until Monday (Nov 9) and close contacts have been identified.

- SMK Jati, Ipoh, Perak

The Perak Education Department in a statement confirmed that a Covid-19 positive case has been detected at this school.

The school would be closed for seven days from Nov 5 to Nov 11 to allow cleaning and disinfection activities.


GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- Bangunan Perak Darul Ridzuan, Ipoh, Perak

The Perak Menteri Besar's Office said a staff member at the office has tested positive for Covid-19. It said the office has been sanitised and all staff members have been instructed to quarantine themselves pending further instructions from the Perak Health Department.

It added that Menteri Besar Ahmad Faizal Azumu was not present in the office to attend the ongoing parliamentary session, and has tested negative for the disease as of yesterday.
