CMCO expanded to most of the country and other news you may have missed

The conditional movement control order (MCO) will now cover Kedah, Penang, Perak, Negeri Sembilan, Malacca, Johor and Terengganu from Nov 9 to Dec 6. The order was also extended to Dec 6 for Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Selangor, and Sabah.

The standard operating procedures for the new states under conditional MCO is the same as in the Klang Valley.

Health director-general Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah said the conditional MCO was not a failure.

The Health Ministry recorded 1,168 new cases of Covid-19 and 1,029 recoveries yesterday.

Finance Minister Tengku Zafrul Abdul Aziz denied allegations that the government had reduced funding for public health.

Financial experts expressed scepticism over the government's 2021 revenue projection, while former finance minister Lim Guan Eng lamented Putrajaya had missed an opportunity for a unity budget.
