Terengganu - 439 flood victims evacuated to nine centres

High rainfall colliding with the height of the high tide phenomenon has caused some low-lying areas near the coast in Terengganu to be flooded last night.

Terengganu State Disaster Management Committee Secretariat chief Lieutenant Colonel (MCDF) Che Adam A Rahman said the third wave of floods this time resulted in 439 people from 124 families being evacuated in stages to nine temporary evacuation centres (PPS) in four districts.
