Singapore refutes claim over 100 M'sian workers are sleeping rough
The Singapore Ministry of Manpower (MOM) has refuted claims that more than 100 Malaysian work pass holders in Singapore are homeless as they could not afford to rent a room or a bed.
The ministry said this yesterday, in reference to an article titled “Homeless Malaysians in Singapore”, published by the New Straits Times on Nov 22, which interviewed a Malaysian, Shahruddin Hael Helmy Mohd Noh.
