Jeram rep: No objection to non-halal section, only alcohol

Jeram assemblyperson Mohd Shaid Rosli said local residents in Puncak Alam are only objecting to the sale of liquor at a newly-opened Jaya Grocer outlet and not other non-halal products.

Shaid said this after the supermarket shut its non-halal section following a memorandum he submitted on behalf of residents, asking that the store "respect the sensitivities of the 90 percent Muslim population in Puncak Alam".
