YOURSAY | Umno’s apology to Bersatu disingenuous, DAP got played
YOURSAY | ‘If Umno is sorry, then they should reinstate Ahmad Faizal as Perak MB.’
Zahid apologises for Faizal's ouster, PN backs Saarani as MB
Dr Raman: I can see Umno, PAS and Bersatu playing a very strategic game.
With Umno and DAP/Pakatan Harapan, there is a supermajority. However, the Malay-Muslim ummah has vowed never to work with DAP, their arch enemy. But DAP offered to work with Umno nevertheless.
That has caused a lot of unhappiness within DAP and its supporters, so much so the leaders are bending over backwards to explain themselves. DAP is now no different from the two Perak DAP assemblypersons who ‘frogged’ earlier.
DAP has been played out big time by Umno, just like opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim was previously. And both have lost credibility and created divisions within their parties and supporters.
So, any more hope or respect for Harapan?
SilverTiger9654: Harapan should probably stop thinking that it is possible to work together with anyone that is part of the backdoor government. They keep getting played like a fiddle.
It’s best to just stick together, form a united front and fight the backdoor government head-on, even if it means losing. Better to command respect from the rakyat, strengthen Harapan as a whole and be ready for GE15.
This is because it seems to be impossible to wrest back control from the backdoor government with each passing day unless someone sells his or her soul to the devil.
But from the way things are going, the person would probably just lose his/her soul for nothing and be discarded right away, and the backdoor government would still be in power.
Tiger In The Jungle: Umno boots out Bersatu MB. Umno appoints its man as MB.
Umno apologises for its treachery and party president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi says, “We sorry your man got booted out, but you support us now or we go with DAP.”
Viola, all is forgiven. And backstabber Bersatu got stabbed.
Business First: Zahid, if it was a mistake to oust Bersatu’s Ahmad Faizal Azumu as menteri besar, then return him as MB.
Instead, Umno gets the MB post. What did Bersatu get? An apology. What a joke.
I suppose that is an apology Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin wanted to give to Dr Mahathir Mohamad when poor Mahathir was stabbed in the back by his own party.
In my view, both parties (Umno and Bersatu) have been damaged as between them we see that they do not trust each other, and rightly so.
When two poisonous scorpions are sleeping side by side, it is not a question of if but when one will sting the other. You sting me in Sabah, I sting you in Perak.
PAS has also been damaged as they chose Bersatu over Umno. Additionally, they showed arrogance and disrespect to the sultan, putting the party leadership over the sultan. So much for ‘raja’ and ‘agama’.
I do not mention ‘negara’ since they don't really care about the country, it is all about what the country can give them in terms of luxury cars, et cetera.
Good thing that Harapan did not join Umno. They got a measure of revenge on Ahmad Faizal for his betrayal of Harapan when he lost his post as MB.
In the end, it shows that these all-Malay parties fighting for race and religion are just pure nonsense. It is all about power and money.
Brave Malaysian: This apology makes no sense. If Umno is indeed sorry, then they should reinstate Ahmad Faizal as the MB.
If the earlier actions can be reversed, and in this case, it easily can, then why apologise? There is no sincerity in that apology. How can PAS and Bersatu accept that unless the snakes all feel afraid they might lose federal power if the Perak crisis is not resolved.
DAP, meanwhile, has lost the chance to make history by making greedy demands in Perak. Again, it shows badly.
I am so tired of the politics being played by the politicians. Anwar has to take responsibility for failing to take advantage of this situation yet again. It is time for him to step down and allow others to lead Harapan.
Harapan has to reconfigure and the older leaders in DAP should also give way to young people. The future belongs to the young and Harapan should allow younger people to take over and decide the fate of the nation.
Let Perikatan Nasional (PN) be led by the oldies and Harapan by the new generation.
PW Cheng: This type of wayang is only for the kampung folks. As if after getting kicked in the behind, a soft apology will solve everything.
PAS, who had said it would not participate in the new (state) government, is a party devoid of morals and principles, only blowing hot and cold air to threaten but in the end, will make up using ‘muafakat’ (consensus) as an excuse.
PAS has been clowning around since tasting power and Malaysians have to endure their crazy ideology called ‘PAS-ticracy’.
Doc: PN is like a group of kids. One day they will play together as friends.
Then they fight with each other and shout profanities, give ultimatums, say “I don't want to friend you”, beat and pull each other's hairs and finally make up and ‘sayang’ each other, only to repeat the cycle, again and again.
I really feel bad for the ummah for having these temper tantrum kids claiming to have their best interest in their hearts but in actuality, they are just brats that need a good spanking from the rakyat.
GoldenRusa0480: Yes, this is so weird. It is like if I just been assaulted and mugged and then out of remorse, the assailant comes back and apologises, and all is forgiven.
