OFFICES

- Zuellig Pharma Sdn Bhd, Shah Alam, Selangor

The company, which is the sole distributor of Pfizer's pharmaceutical products in Malaysia, confirmed Covid-19 cases were detected at its premises.

Its chief executive for Malaysia and Brunei, Louis-Georges Lassonnery did not disclose the number of infections but said Zuellig Pharma is part of the Sri Jujur cluster which has 202 cases to date. 

According to MySejahtera's hotspot tracker, 52 cases were reported within 1km radius of Zuellig Pharma's premises at Bukit Jelutong in the past 14 days.

Lassonery told Malaysiakini all close contacts have been identified and quarantined while the Ministry of Health has declared the site "safe and good to operate".

- Axis Business Park, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

A staff member from the facilities management office at the Axis Business Park had tested positive for Covid-19 on Dec 15, said the management office in a notice dated Dec 15.

In another notice dated Dec 16, the management office said the other staff from the same office had taken the swab tests and they have all received a negative result. However, they will still undergo a 14-day quarantine as part of the company’s standard operating procedure.

Disinfection and deep cleaning has also been carried out at all common areas of Axis Business Park on Dec 15. 


BUSINESSES

- Long Farm Meat, Taman Chi Liung, Klang, Selangor

The management of the butcher shop said this branch will be closed until further notice after an employee was confirmed positive for Covid-19.

Customers who visited the branch between Dec 9 to Dec 16 were advised to undergo a swab test for their own safety.

- MyTown Shopping Centre, Kuala Lumpur

A staff member at clothing store Zara at MyTown Shopping Centre tested positive on Dec 16.

The outlet was closed yesterday and will reopen tomorrow with a new team, after for sanitation.

Staff who worked in the same shift have been tested and are undergoing quarantine.


RESIDENCES

- Jalan Setia Bakti 8, Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur

A resident tested positive for Covid-19 today.  

The neighbourhood was alerted of the case this afternoon. 

Last week, DV Ristorante located a kilometre away, announced a customer had tested positive for Covid-19.

- Bougainvilla Apartment, Bukit Pelangi Prima, Kuala Lumpur

A resident has tested positive for Covid-19.

The resident was taken to hospital on Thursday, the Kepong DAP branch said.

The branch assisted the Segambut brabch with disinfecting the affected areas of the apartment following that, it said in a Facebook posting.


MEDICAL FACILITIES

- Hospital Serdang, Selangor

More than a dozen patients and staff have tested positive for Covid-19 at this hospital in the past fortnight, multiple sources confirmed to Malaysiakini.

Among departments affected are the cardiology and cardiothoracic department.

The hospital does not treat Covid-19 patients, and all infected staff were sent to Hospital Sungai Buloh.

Close contacts of those infected have been quarantined.

- Hospital Selayang, Batu Caves, Selangor

Two operation theatre nurses have tested positive for Covid-19 after contact with an infected patient, health news website CodeBlue reported.

Nurses who interact with patients while preparing them for surgery only wear face masks as personal protection, if a patient tests negative using the Antigen Rapid Test Kit (RTK Antigen), it reported.

RTK Antigen is less sensitive in detecting Covid-19, especially if the virus is in the incubation period.

- Hospital Ampang, Selangor

Four healthcare workers have tested positive over Covid-19, the Health Ministry said.


GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- Accountant General's Department, Menara Tabung Haji, Johor Bahru

Levels 8 and 11 of Menara Tabung Haji in Johor Bahru are closed starting yesterday after a staff member of the Accountant General's Department's Johor division located there tested positive for Covid-19.

Several other staff are deemed close contact, Johor Health director Dr Aman Rabu was reported by Utusan Malaysia as saying.

The offices are closed for sanitation.

- Human Resources Ministry, Putrajaya

At least one staff member at this ministry tested positive for Covid-19.

The office space of Block D3 and D4 has been sanitised by the Fire and Rescue Department.

Other personnel who had close contact with the infected person have undergone Covid-19 screening, the ministry said in a statement.
