GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- Legal Affairs Division building, Putrajaya

The government's Legal Affairs Division building in Presint 3, Putrajaya will be closed on Monday and Tuesday for disinfection, with the Legal Aid Department and Insolvency Department among those affected by the closure.

While details are sparse, an aide to de facto Law Minister Takiyuddin Hassan said there had been a case of Covid-19 there.


RESIDENTIAL AREAS

- Sungai Salleh, Serdang, Kedah

The Bandar Baharu district health office said on Facebook that there has been a confirmed Covid-19 case in this area.

- Jalan Merbau, Serdang, Kedah

The Bandar Baharu district health office posted on Facebook that a Covid-19 case has been detected here. 


MARKETS

- Pasar Karak, Bentong, Pahang

DAP's Sabai assemblyperson Kamache Doray Rajoo, who tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 2, had distributed calendars to constituents at this market on Dec 28.

Photos uploaded onto her Facebook page showed that she was wearing a face mask.

China Press reported that the assemblyperson and her team had conducted disinfection work in her constituency in the past two weeks, but it is unknown how she was infected. 

She tested positive using a Rapid Test Kit yesterday and was tested again using the more accurate polymerase chain reaction (PCR) test today, it reported.

Kamache and her son reportedly developed a fever, body aches and loss of appetite yesterday.

Both are quarantined at Hospital Bentong pending their PCR test result, expected in 48 hours.

 


PLACES OF WORSHIP

- Kampung Lingkubang church, Kota Belud, Sabah

The Kota Belud district health office sent out a notice urging those who attended the church on Dec 25 to show up to the Kampung Lingkubang hall, near the school SK Kebayau, on Jan 3 from 9.30am to 11.30am.


SPORTING FACILITIES

- Akademi Badminton Malaysia (ABM), Bukit Kiara, Kuala Lumpur

The Badminton Association of Malaysia confirmed that its coaching director Wong Choong Hann has tested positive for Covid-19.

ABM has since undergone a detailed sanitisation process on Jan 3. 


BUSINESSES

- Revelation Republic gym, Taman Sea, Selangor

Three cases including two clients have tested positive for Covid-19, the gym said.

They were detected through contact tracing from the first case at the gym.

- Ministry of Burn fitness gym, Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur

In a notice to members, the management said one of its "core team members" tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 3.

The core team member had exposure to an infected person on Dec 30, and had not visited the Ministry of Burn studio since then.

Nevertheless, the studio will close from Jan 4 until further notice, as a precautionary measure, it said. 

- Hustle Lifestyle gym, Solaris Dutamas, Kuala Lumpur

The management said a guest from their soft launch had tested positive for Covid-19.

As such, the gym will be closed temporarily from Jan 2 for sanitisation.

The guest had attended a class on Dec 28 at 7pm and another class on Dec 31 at 12pm.

- Several Flyproject gym outlets in Kuala Lumpur

Another eight employees of Flyproject tested positive for Covid-19. It was previously reported on Jan 1 that two members and one employee had also contracted the virus.

All Flyproject studios will be closed until Jan 11 for sanitisation.

- Jaya Grocer, KL East Mall, Kuala Lumpur

The management of Jaya Grocer said they discovered an outsourced security guard for their branch in KL East Mall had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 2, after routine testing.

The outsourced security guard has not been to the branch since Dec 31 and does not share a hostel with other Jaya Grocer staff.

The branch at KL East Mall will be closed on Jan 3 until further notice for sanitisation and deep cleaning.

- Village Grocer, Sunsuria Forum, Setia Alam

The management of Village Grocer said one of their staff members at the Sunsuria Forum branch had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 2.

Sanitisation and deep cleaning were conducted on Jan 2, and all staff identified as close contacts will undergo swab tests.

- Watson's Pharmacy, Brinchang, Cameron Highlands

This pharmacy has been ordered by the Health Ministry to close temporarily from Jan 2 to Jan 4 for disinfection works.

- Mr DIY Cameron Square, Brinchang, Cameron Highlands

This Mr DIY branch has been ordered by the Health Ministry to close temporarily from Jan 2 to Jan 4 for disinfection works.

- Restoran Makanan Laut Sister, Kampung Raja, Cameron Highlands

This restaurant has been ordered by the Health Ministry to close temporarily from Jan 2 to Jan 4 for disinfection works.


RESIDENCES

- Pangsapuri Anggun, Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor

Two residents at Block B tested positive for Covid-19, the management said in a notice on Jan 3.

All common areas will be sanitised, it added.

On Dec 14, a family of four at Block A of the same complex tested positive for Covid-19.

- One Menerung, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur

A bodyguard and driver of a resident of Block B tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 2, the management said in a notice.

The resident has arranged for all family members to be tested for Covid-19, it added.

The management has arranged for sanitation of possibly affected areas today.

All common facilities and the driver's room will be closed until further notice, it said. 

- Tropicana Avenue, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

Two residents at the Block B of the residential tower of Tropicana Avenue tested positive on Dec 31 and were fetched to hospital on Jan 2.

The management is arranging to disinfect the affected floor and sanitise all common areas. 

- Serai Apartment, Bukit Bandaraya, Kuala Lumpur

The management confirmed in a notice dated Jan 2 that a resident from Block B tested positive for Covid-19.

The affected floors and common areas have been sanitised.

- Casa Green Condominium, Bukit Jalil, Kuala Lumpur

A resident from Block A tested positive for Covid-19, management said in a Jan 2 notice.

Sanitisation will be carried at all common areas.

- The Mines Heritage Apartment, Seri Kembangan, Selangor

The management confirmed in a notice dated Dec 31 that a resident from Block A had tested positive for Covid-19.

As such, the management office will be closed until Jan 7.

All common areas will be disinfected.


OFFICES

- Jaya One, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

The management said in a notice dated Dec 31 that an employee from Block A-17/19, Level Two had tested positive for Covid-19.

The employee was last at work on Dec 31. All other employees from the same office had undergone screening.

The office unit has been closed. Sanitisation and disinfection have been carried out in all common areas.
