BUSINESSES

- Precise Rehab, Galeria Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur

A therapist at this physical rehabilitation clinic tested positive for Covid-19, the clinic said in a notice.

The therapist was at two gatherings with other staff and therapists on Dec 26 and 28 respectively.

The therapist developed symptoms on Jan 2 and tested positive the next day.

Other staff who attended the gatherings have been tested and are in quarantine, the clinic said.

The clinic is temporarily closed and was disinfected on Jan 5 while upcoming appointments are cancelled or rescheduled, it said.

 - Naj and Belle, Bangsar

A therapist from Precise Rehab, who tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 3, attended a dinner here on Dec 26, Precise Rehab said.

All Naj & Belle staff have been tested and were found to be Covid-19 negative.

The restaurant said it conducts sanitation of its premises every night.  


- Kim's Chiropractic, Taman Sea, Petaling Jaya and Sri Hartamas, Kuala Lumpur branches

Two employees tested positive for Covid-19, the chiropractic clinic said.

The first infected employee was at the Taman Sea branch on Jan 2 and 3 and attended to nine patients. The same staff member was also at the Sri Hartamas branch on Jan 4 but did not see any patients that day.

This employee is believed to have been infected during a dinner with infected individuals on Dec 31.

The second infected employee was at the Taman Sea branch on Jan 3 but did not treat any patients.

Both branches are closed from Jan 5 to Jan 13 to allow all staff to quarantine themselves.

- Kepong Food Court, Kuala Lumpur

The food court posted on its Facebook yesterday that it will be closed until further notice after there was a Covid-19 case reported there.

The closure is to facilitate sanitisation and the testing of staff.

- Sitka Eatinghouse & Wine Bar, Bukit Damansara, Kuala Lumpur

A diner at the restaurant informed them that they had tested positive on Jan 6.

The restaurant was closed yesterday for sanitisation and for staff to be tested.

The restaurant updated today that one of their local kitchen staff had tested positive Covid-19.

The staff member is under quarantine and awaiting instructions from the Health Ministry. The other staff members were tested negative so far, with two more results pending.

The restaurant will remain closed until further notice.

- Gold Dragon City Restaurant, Taman Paramount, Selangor

The restaurant said a few of its employees had tested positive for Covid-19.

All staff members have been quarantined and are undergoing screening. Contact tracing is being conducted.

The restaurant was also closed immediately for disinfection.

- O & S Restaurant, Taman Paramount, Selangor

An employee of a hawker at this restaurant had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 7. The employee was last at work on Jan 3.

The restaurant will be closed on Jan 8 until further notice for sanitisation and disinfection works.

- Dragon Noodle, All Season Place, Penang

The restaurant said in an announcement dated Jan 9 that an employee had tested positive for Covid-19, though the employee is asymptomatic.

The staff member was last at work on Jan 4. Close contacts will undergo testing soon.

The outlet will be closed until further notice for sanitisation.

- Ben's Independent Grocer, Ikano Power Centre (IPC), Selangor

The management said a few staff from the food and beverage counter, seafood and grocery department tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 9.

Close contacts have been identified and sent for screening and home quarantine.

The outlet will be closed on Jan 9 to undergo sanitisation and disinfection.

- PC Image, Plaza Pelangi, Johor Bahru

The Plaza Pelangi management said an employee from PC Image had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 2.

As such, PC Image will be closed until further notice. Sanitisation has been carried out in all affected areas.

RESIDENCES

- Savanna Southville, Bangi, Selangor

The management confirmed that there are currently six active cases among its residents.

The affected residents come from Block C2, Block B1, Block C1 and Block A2.

Sanitisation has been carried out

- Seri Jati Apartment 1, Jalan Puchong, Kuala Lumpur

Another three residents at this complex tested positive for Covid-19, the management said on Jan 4.

Two of them reside on a second floor unit of Block B and tested positive on Dec 30, 2020, and Jan 2 respectively while another resides on level 4 of Block A and tested positive on Jan 4. 

- SK One Residence, Seri Kembangan, Selangor

A resident here tested positive for Covid-19, the management said in a notice yesterday.

It added said it has arranged for disinfection to be done as soon as possible.

All common facilities at Level 6 are closed temporarily.

- Changkat View Condominium, Kuala Lumpur

The management sent out a notice yesterday that there was a new confirmed case of Covid-19 on Jan 7.

This is the fourth case reported at the condominium since the new year.

- Kelana Puteri, Kelana Jaya, Selangor

The condominium's management reported that a resident tested positive yesterday.

The resident's family has been placed under quarantine, and sanitisation of common areas and facilities will be carried out.

- Kenanga Point Condominium, Kuala Lumpur

The management reported one resident was taken away by the Health Ministry on Jan 5 after testing positive for Covid-19.

Disinfection works were carried out.

- Teratai Mewah, Kuala Lumpur

Nanyang Siang Pau reported that a resident had tested positive on New Year's Day. Four other family members subsequently tested positive for the virus.

- Desa Alpha, Kuala Lumpur

The management sent out a notice on Jan 5 that a resident had tested positive. Sanitisation work was carried out in common areas.

- Various areas, Kulai, Johor

The Kulai Health Department reported that there were new cases at Jalan Perindustrian 1 (48), and one new case each at Jalan Persiaran Teknologi, Jalan Rajawali, Jalan Camar, Taman Cantik, Taman Saga, Taman Senai Jaya, Taman Handal, Jalan Cengal, Temenggung, and Jalan Melati.

- 8 Gurney, Penang

The management sent out a notice on Jan 6 that a Covid-19 case had been detected in the community. Sanitisation work has been carried out.

- The Peak Residences, Penang

The management sent out a notice on Jan 5 that there was a Covid-19. Sanitisation work has been carried out.

- The Tamarind, Penang

The management sent out a notice on Jan 6 that there were two confirmed cases of Covid-19. Sanitisation work has been carried out.

- Setia V-Residences, Penang

The management sent out a notice on Jan 6 that one resident had tested positive for Covid-19. Sanitisation work has been carried out.

- Pandan Heights Condominium, Kuala Lumpur

The management confirmed in a notice dated Jan 6 that two residents from Block 30 have tested positive for Covid-19.

Sanitisation and disinfection have been carried out at all common areas.

- Perdana Exclusive Condominium, Damansara Perdana, Selangor

The management confirmed in a notice dated Jan 7 that a resident from Block E had tested positive for Covid-19.

The resident is self-quarantining while awaiting further instructions from the Health Ministry.

Common areas have been sanitised.

- Mont Kiara Aman, Mont Kiara, Kuala Lumpur

The management confirmed in a notice dated Jan 9 that there has been another confirmed case, making it the sixth case reported in the apartment.

Sanitisation for all common areas and facilities have been carried out.

All facilities will be closed until further notice.

- Several longhouses in Sibu, Sarawak

It was reported that Sibu had recorded 37 new positive cases among eight longhouses. The new cluster is called the Pasai Siong cluster.

The eight affected longhouses are Jelian Nayor, Ringgit Unchu, Pom Maja, Nyanggai Alok, Jeram Empin, Langi Ambau, Kelly Chundau and Nyambong Ajon.

The index case is a woman who returned to her longhouse from Johor Bahru on Dec 29.

She was swabbed for the first time when she arrived at the Kuching International Airport and the result was negative. Her second swab was taken on Jan 5 at a clinic, which came back positive the next day.

The eight longhouses and surrounding areas will also be under lockdown for 14 days.

- Ken Damansara Condominium, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

The management confirmed in a notice dated Jan 8 that a resident from Block A had tested positive for Covid-19.

Close contacts have been identified. All common areas have been sanitised. 

- The Zest @ Kinrara 9, Puchong, Selangor

The management has confirmed in a notice dated Jan 5 that a resident had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 9.

Sanitisation has been carried out in the common areas.


CONSTRUCTION SITES

- Tapak Bina Birch SCP, Kuala Lumpur

The Health Ministry has shut down the construction site from Jan 6 to 13 after Covid-19 cases were detected.


SPORTING AND RECREATION FACILITIES

- Royal Selangor Golf Club, Kuala Lumpur

The club said in a notice that two staff members from the food and beverage section had tested positive for Covid-19, as reported by The Malay Mail.

The main lounge, Modesto's restaurant, the rotunda and the canteen will be closed from Jan 8 to Jan 14.

- Tropicana Golf and Country Resort, Petaling Jaya, Selangor

The resort reportedly said in a notice that an outsourced caddie had tested positive for Covid-19, three days after his last day of work on Jan 3.

The caddie did not patronise the club or any of the outlets, as reported by The Malay Mail.

Disinfection has been carried out at the resort.

- Botanic Resort Club, Klang, Selangor

The management confirmed in a notice dated Jan 8 that a staff member and three contract workers had tested positive for Covid-19.

The club will also be closed on Jan 9 and Jan 10 to facilitate disinfection in all common areas.

- Kota Permai Golf & Country Club, Shah Alam, Selangor

The management said in a statement today that a staff member had tested positive for Covid-19.

The employee was last at work on Jan 7 and had visited the membership office at 11.30am and the staff canteen at 1.20pm.

The club will be closed on Jan 10 and Jan 11 for sanitisation.


GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS

- Puspakom Cheras branch, Desa Tun Razak, Kuala Lumpur

The Computerised Vehicle Inspection Centre (Puspakom) branch in Cheras will be closed until further notice as one of its employees tested positive for Covid-19.

All staff members from the same branch will undergo screening as well while close contacts will have to undergo a 14-day quarantine.

For customers who have made an appointment, all inspection appointment payments will be automatically refunded, Puspakom said.


OFFICES

- Asian International Arbitration Centre (AIAC), Kampung Attap, Kuala Lumpur

The AIAC management confirmed that an employee had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 9.

As such, the Bangunan Sulaiman premises and the AIAC's office will be closed from Jan 9 to Jan 24. The building will be sanitised thoroughly.

All AIAC employees have undergone screening and will undergo a 14-day home quarantine.
