Court postpones Malaysiakini's contempt case decision due to MCO
The Federal Court has postponed its decision, due tomorrow, Friday, Jan 15, on a contempt of court bid against Malaysiakini over a number of comments posted by the news portal’s readers.
The portal’s counsel Surendra Ananth confirmed that the initially scheduled decision has been put off to another date to be fixed.
The lawyer said the apex court postponed the decision due to the recent re-imposition of the movement control order (MCO) over Putrajaya and several locations nationwide.
