Opposition appeal letter to king over emergency set for Monday

PKR president Anwar Ibrahim will press ahead with legal challenges to the government’s emergency proclamation following his plea to all lawmakers to write to the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Abdullah Sultan Ahmad Shah for the declaration to be rescinded.

The opposition leader mooted legal action against Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin for advising the king on the move.
