A line-up of distinguished lawyers has spoken out against Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin's move to secure an emergency proclamation, ostensibly to aid the government's fight against the Covid-19 pandemic.
The 10 legal eagles, who were former Bar presidents from the last three decades, argued that the government was setting a dangerous precedent in invoking emergency powers when the conditions are not met under the Federal Constitution.
