Teen rape claim: CCTV footage unavailable, says S'wak police chief
Police investigation into an incident in which a 16-year-old girl claimed that she was raped by a male detainee while being held at the Miri police station lock-up on Jan 9 found that closed-circuit television (CCTV) camera footage was unavailable.
Sarawak police commissioner Aidi Ismail said he had instructed his deputy Fisol Salleh to coordinate an internal investigation and the results would be known this week.
