Below are verified locations that are reported to be affected today.

[Editor's note: An amendment has been made to state that the Kepong Market was not closed by the Health Ministry, but parts were closed by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall, pending Covid-19 test results by traders.]
BUSINESSES
- Eco Shop, Pasir Mas, Kelantan
The management said in a notice on Facebook that a staff member at the Pasir Mas branch tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 17.
Contact tracing is underway and the branch will be closed until further notice for disinfection.
- Jaya Grocer, Damansara Perdana, Selangor
In a notice on Facebook, the management said an employee in the receiving department at this branch tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 19.
The staff member last came to work on Jan 17 and has since been quarantined. Close contacts have also been quarantined. All other employees at the branch tested negative.
The store underwent cleaning and sanitisation on Jan 19 and resumed business today.
- Village Grocer, Mid Valley Southkey Mall, Johor Bahru
A staff member from its fresh department here tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 19, the management said in a Facebook notice today.
The worker last came to work on Jan 14 and those identified as close contacts will undergo swab test and home quarantine.
The store underwent sanitisation on Jan 19.
- UOB Bank, Taman Ponderosa, Johor Bahru
The bank said in a notice on Facebook that a customer-facing employee who was based at the UOB direct sales team office in Taman Ponderosa, tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 19.
Close contacts have been told to undergo a swab test and home quarantine. All UOB offices, branches and facilities conduct daily deep-cleaning.
- Kepong Baru morning market, Kepong, Kuala Lumpur
It was earlier reported by DAP Kepong that the market was closed by the Health Ministry due to Covid-19 cases, but Gerakan Kepong later clarified that part of the market was closed by the Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) pending results of Covid-19 tests on traders.
- Pure Seed Florist, Menara IMC, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur
An employee at this florist tested positive, the business said today.
All staff will undergo 14-day home quarantine, and the business will shut down until Feb 1.
Customers with scheduled deliveries this month will be contacted with alternative arrangements.
- Bank Islam Menara TM, Jalan Pantai Baru, Kuala Lumpur and Bandar Baru Bangi, Selangor
The Menara TM and the Bangi branches are closed until further notice for sanitation.
A staff member at Menara TM tested positive for Covid-19, the bank said in a notice on its Facebook page.
However, the bank did not state why the Bangi branch is closed for sanitation.
- Urban Fresh Marketplace, Setia Alam, Selangor
Three employees tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, the supermarket said in a notice on Facebook today.
The workers were asymptomatic, it said.
The supermarket is closed today for sanitation and contact tracing and will reopen tomorrow once all staff have completed Covid-19 tests, it said.
As at noon, half of the staff have been tested and were found to be Covid-19 negative.
- Pasaraya CS, Bangi Avenue, Selangor
Two employees at the Seafood department tested positive for Covid-19, the supermarket
They are asymptomatic and were last at work on Sunday, the supermarket said.
Staff who had close contact with them have been quarantined.
The branch closed at 4pm today for deep cleaning and will reopen at 8.30am tomorrow.
OFFICES
- Putra World Trade Centre (PWTC), Jalan Tun Ismail, Kuala Lumpur
Umno supreme council member Tajuddin Abdul Rahman had attended a meeting with Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi and former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak here on Jan 18.
Tajuddin announced he was positive for Covid-19 today.
When contacted by Malaysiakini, a source close to Zahid verified the meeting took place and said those who attended had already taken swab tests.
- Prasarana Malaysia Berhad office, Bangsar, Kuala Lumpur
Prasarana chairperson and Pasir Salak MP Tajuddin Abdul Rahman had entered the office on Jan 18 for a meeting. He announced he was Covid-19 positive today.
A Prasarana spokesperson told Malaysiakini that employees who had close contact with Tajuddin will go for swab tests.
Others will be placed under home quarantine until Jan 29.
- Q Sentral, KL Sentral, Kuala Lumpur
An occupant of Level 40 tested positive for Covid-19, the management said in a notice today.
The person was last at the building on Monday.
Sanitation on all common areas and facilities will be done within 24 hours, it said.
This is the fourth case reported at Q Sentral this month.
EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
- Taylor's International School, Maluri, Kuala Lumpur
The school is closed until Jan 25 after another staff member tested positive for Covid-19, this time in the administration department, the school said in a notice to parents today.
On Jan 17, the school announced a maintenance staff member had contracted the virus.
- Pedas Industrial Training Institute
A total of 12 cases were detected involving students at a public training institute at Sungai Ibor, Rembau, the Health Ministry said.
This institute is the only public training institute in the area.
The cluster was traced through screening of symptomatic individuals who had travelled from out of state, the ministry said.
- Michelia, Cempaka International School
A faculty member of the early education section of this international school tested positive for Covid-19, the school said in a notice to parents.
The individual, who is asymptomatic, has been in quarantine after contact with an infected person.
No other faculty member or student has displayed symptoms, it said.
The school said it will remain open following advice from the relevant authorities and health experts and will continue with daily sanitisation and weekly deep cleaning.
- Rise n Shine Childcare Centre, SS2 Petaling Jaya, Selangor
The childcare centre confirmed that a student had tested positive for Covid-19.
The centre is closed until further notice and all learning will be online-based for now, Malaysiakini was told.
- Mara Junior Science College (MRSM) Lipis, Pahang
All Form Five students from this school preparing for the SPM examinations had to be quarantined after one student tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 19.
Three more students were later found to be positive and were sent to the hospital.
RESIDENCES
- Kampung Balibata, Beaufort, Sabah
A cluster of cases was traced to a funeral and tahlil ceremony here, the Health Ministry said.
All 35 individuals screened in this cluster tested positive for Covid-19, it said.
- Kampung Orang Asli Batu Enam, Batang Padang, Perak
A total of 12 cases were detected here so far, the Health Ministry said.
The cases are part of the Batu Enam cluster from which 41 people have been screened to date.
The index case was detected on Jan 14 through screening of an individual with symptoms.
- Pekan Sawmill Luit, Maran, Pahang
A total of 19 cases were detected here after the first case was detected on Jan 14, the Health Ministry said.
The index case had travelled from Kuala Lumpur.
- O'hako Residence, Bukit Tandang
A resident of Block B tested positive for Covid-19, the management said in a notice to residents on Jan 20.
All visitors and workers are barred from entering while common areas will be sanitised and cleaned more frequently, it said.
- Boulevard Subang Jaya Condominium, Subang Jaya, Selangor
The management said in a notice to residents sighted by Malaysiakini, that a resident from Tower 2 had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 20.
This is the second case in the condominium. All common areas have been sanitised and cleaned.
The management also noted that the first patient from the condominium has already been released by the Health Ministry.
- Various residential areas in Kedah
The Kedah Health Department released residential areas where Covid-19 cases were reported on Monday.
They include:
- Kampung Masjid Lama, Alor Setar
- Taman Permaipura, Bedong
- Taman Tengku Maheran, Kubang Pasu
- Taman Wawasan, Baling
- Taman Damai, Kulim
- Taman Sri Mas, Pendang
- Felda Teloi Timur, Sik

- Vega Residensi 1, Cyberjaya, Selangor
A resident tested positive for Covid-19 yesterday, the management said in a notice to residents.
All common facilities are closed, it said.
- Perdana Exclusive condominium, Damansara Perdana, Selangor
The management said in a notice to residents dated Jan 19 that another Covid-19 case has been detected in the condominium, from Block B.
The management later told Malaysiakini that they now have two confirmed cases of Covid-19.
All common areas will be sanitised, including the lifts and lobby areas.
- Geo Bukit Rimau Condominium, Shah Alam, Selangor
The management said in a notice to residents, sighted by Malaysiakini, that a resident from Block B Level 20 had tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 18.
The resident will be under home quarantine until further notice by the Health Ministry.
The management has arranged for sanitisation and disinfection in all common areas.
- Sri Desa Condominium, Jalan Kuchai Lama, Kuala Lumpur
A resident at Level 7, Block 5 tested positive for Covid-19, the management said in a notice to residents yesterday.
Areas potentially contaminated have been disinfected, it said.
- Perdana Emerald, Damansara Perdana, Selangor
A resident of Block 1 tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 18, the management said in a notice to residents.
The resident's family is undergoing home quarantine, while all common areas had been disinfected, it said.

- Various locations in Kuching, Samarahan, Betong, Sibu, Sarikei, Bintulu and Miri, Sarawak
The Sarawak government releases daily a list of locations exposed to Covid-19.
Among locations listed yesterday are:
- Universiti Malaysia Sarawak's Faculty of Computer Science, Kuching (exposure up to Jan 18)
- Mineral and GeoSciences Department, Kuching (Jan 15)
- 38 Food Street Stutong Baru, Kuching (Jan 13)
- CCL Fresh and Mini Market, Sibu (Jan 16)
- H2S Unisex Saloon, Miri (Jan 14)
- RH Sewa Along, Kampung Hulu Sebauh, Bintulu (Jan 18)
- Medan Department Store Sdn Bhd, Betong (Jan 9 and 13)

- Various residential and industrial areas in Kulai, Johor
The Kulai Health Office released a list of locations where Covid-19 cases were detected in the district yesterday.
They include:
- Taman Putri, Kulai (5 cases)
- Kampung Sri Paya, Bukit Batu (3 cases)
- Taman Gembira, Sedenak (4 cases)
- Taman Sri Senai, Senai (7 cases).
CONSTRUCTION SITES
- Jalan Dato Abdul Aziz, Seksyen 19, Petaling Jaya, Selangor
A total of 56 cases were detected at a construction site here so far, the Health Ministry said.
They make up the Tapak Bina Jalan Abdul Aziz cluster.
A total of 172 individuals have been screened.
