RESIDENCES
- Taman Sri Damai Low-cost Housing, Penang
A resident of Block 21 tested positive for Covid-19, the management said in a notice to residents yesterday.
The management also urged all not to disturb the affected household and to pray for their recovery.
- Eden Seaview Condominium, Batu Ferringhi, Penang
A resident here tested positive for Covid-19, China Press reported, citing a notice from management issued on Jan 25.
- Hijauan Puteri Condominium, Puchong, Selangor
A resident of Level 2 tested positive for Covid-19 today, the management said in a notice to residents.
Disinfection is underway, it said.
- Rumah Adal, Nanga Tiga, Betong, Sarawak
Residents of this longhouse have tested positive for Covid-19, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.
- Casa Idaman Condominium, Kampung Batu Muda, Kuala Lumpur
Another resident tested positive for Covid-19, this time at Level 10, Block B, the management said in a notice to residents today.
This is the fourth case reported at this condominium complex in the past week.
The resident has been admitted to the hospital while family members will be tested and are undergoing quarantine.
Disinfection is underway, it said.
BUSINESSES
- Oliver Gourmet at Cheras Leisure Mall, Kuala Lumpur
The management of this supermarket issued a notice last night, informing customers that a staff member tested positive for Covid-19.
It said that the employee last reported to work on Jan 15.
The store was closed yesterday for sanitisation.
All other staff members have been sent for swab tests and put under quarantine.
- Jaya Grocer Mutiara Tropicana, Petaling Jaya, Selangor
A worker at this grocery store outlet was confirmed positive for Covid-19 today, said a notice by the company this morning.
It said the employee last reported to work on Jan 22.
The outlet will be closed today as a precautionary measure.
The employee and all close contacts have been ordered to undergo quarantine, and all other staff members of the outlet are scheduled to take their swab tests by today.
- Jaya Grocer, Empire Shopping Gallery, Subang Jaya, Selangor
The management confirmed yesterday that several of its staff members tested positive for Covid-19.
This branch will be closed until further notice and will be sanitised.
Employees who tested negative will also be quarantined.

An individual who tested positive for Covid-19 visited the store on Jan 21 from 7.04pm to 7.45pm, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.
- Pasaraya Doremon, Sri Aman, Sarawak
A customer who visited the supermarket on Jan 18 from 10am to 11am tested positive for Covid-19, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.
- My Cafe 2, Sri Aman, Sarawak
A customer who visited the supermarket on Jan 18 from 11.30am to 12 noon tested positive for Covid-19, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.

- A construction and civil engineering firm on Jalan Indah 16/12, Johor Bahru, Johor
At least 11 employees working at this company tested positive for Covid-19, China Press reported.
The company is not named in the report, but the State Health Department confirmed the employees are part of the Jalan Indah cluster announced on Jan 25.
The company's staff told China Press that affected employees are in quarantine while the premises have been disinfected.
EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS
- UiTM Sungai Buloh campus, Sungai Buloh, Selangor
The Health Ministry on Monday announced a new cluster involving a public education institution located near Sungai Chemubong in Selangor, which has recorded 13 positive Covid-19 cases.
Checks revealed that the institution involved is the Sungai Buloh campus of Universiti Teknologi Mara, located not far away from the Sungai Buloh Hospital.
The campus houses the faculty of medicine and also its own medical centre called Pusat Perubatan UiTM, among others.
However, it could not be ascertained if the outbreak involved students or employees of UiTM.
Malaysiakini contacted the university's corporate communications department, but they declined to comment, and asked Malaysiakini to contact the Health Ministry instead.
- Akademi Binaan Malaysia Wilayah Sarawak, Kuching, Sarawak
An individual who tested positive for Covid-19 was at this building on Jan 18 from 8am to 5pm, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.
- SMK Pekan Nanas, Pontian, Johor
The school is closed from Jan 25 to 28 after a student tested positive for Covid-19, Tanjung Piai MP Wee Jeck Seng said.
The student is a Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) candidate.
GOVERNMENT BUILDINGS
- Poslaju Kuching Utara, Sarawak
An individual who tested positive for Covid-19 was at this building on Jan 22 at 3pm to 3.30pm, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.
- Bandar Baharu police district headquarters, Kedah
According to the Bandar Baharu Health Office, a detainee held here tested positive for Covid-19.
MEDICAL FACILITIES
- Klinik Murni, Balik Pulau, Penang
The clinic was temporarily closed from yesterday until Feb 2, following exposure to a Covid-19 case, China Press reported.
All staff will undergo testing, it reported.
MARKETS
- Pasar Tamu, Betong, Sarawak
A customer who visited this market on Jan 17 from 10 to 11am tested positive for Covid-19, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.
- Pasar Tamu Sibuya, Sibu, Sarawak
An individual who visited this market on Jan 13 from 12.26pm to 1.30pm tested positive for Covid-19, the Sarawak Disaster Management Committee said.
FACTORIES AND INDUSTRIAL AREAS
- Power Root manufacturing facility, Masai, Johor
The energy drink company issued a notice to Bursa Malaysia today that their facility located along Jalan Sri Plentong is closed temporarily from Jan 25 until Feb 1.
This comes after an employee there tested positive for Covid-19 on Jan 24.
Following this, the company has conducted screening tests on 520 workers, and all close contacts have been ordered to undergo quarantine.
Sanitisation works have also been conducted at all production areas, warehouses, and worker hostels on Jan 26.
- Dynacite Engineering Sdn Bhd, Pasir Gudang Industrial Zone, Johor
A total of 33 cases were detected at this construction and engineering material manufacturing plant, up to Jan 26, the company confirmed to China Press.
It said 66 employees were screened.
They are part of the Jalan Platinum cluster announced by the Health Ministry yesterday.
DETENTION FACILITIES
- Dungun Correctional Centre and Prisoner Transit Centre and Marang Prison, Terengganu
The two prisons will be placed under enhanced movement control orders for two weeks starting tomorrow.
The order on the Marang Prison affects the staff training centre in Zones 2 and 3 while the order on the Dungun prison includes the staff quarters, said Defence Minister Ismail Sabri Yaakob.
99 cases were detected at the Dungun Correctional Centre as of yesterday, including two staff and five individuals who had close contact with the patients. A total of 1,102 people were tested.
98 cases were found at the Marang Prison as of yesterday after 1,262 people were tested.
