Covid-19 (Feb 13): 3,499 new cases but active cases dip slightly
COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 3,499 new cases of Covid-19 as of noon today and five deaths.
Recoveries (3,515) were slightly higher for the second straight day. There were also 21 fewer active cases.
This is the second day in a row that the number of active cases has dipped slightly.

- Patients in ICU: 263
- Intubated: 118
Kedah did not report any new clusters today, breaking a two-day trend of new cases mostly coming from new clusters.
However, 61 percent of new cases in Kuala Lumpur are tied to new clusters as are 45 percent of new cases in Johor.
Deaths
Of the five deaths today, two are from Selangor, followed by Johor (1), Terengganu (1) and Sabah (1)
The youngest victim was a 20-year-old man who also had lymphoma.
A 32-year-old man with a history of hypertension, diabetes and chronic kidney disease also died.
All casualties today were Malaysians.
The national death toll stands at 958.
Clusters
There are 10 new clusters today while 11 other clusters are considered eradicated.
The current number of active clusters stands at 483.
Four clusters recorded triple digit new cases, namely: Sungai Putus (271), Persiaran Synergi Utama (219), Tapak Bina Lorong Peel (187) and Tapak Bina Jalil Utama (123).
The Tanjung Suria cluster from December, which had been experiencing a surge of fresh infections over the past three days, reported only 11 new cases today.
