1. The government has listed categories of people eligible for the first phase of Covid-19 vaccinations amid growing pressure to tackle vaccine ‘queue jumpers’, with last-minute changes made to its list of vaccine recipients ahead of its rollout today.

2. Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin said the movement control order restrictions are meant to strike a balance between life and livelihood. He also gave his assurance that the emergency powers of the government are not being abused to remain in power forever.

3. Sebatik assemblyperson Hassan A Gani Pg Amir said his promise last year to quit his office if he leaves Warisan is invalid because he had made the oath “under duress”. Warisan is mulling legal action against him.

4. PKR president Anwar Ibrahim claimed that the defections of Julau MP Larry Sng and Tebrau MP Steven Choong were due to coercion, threats or pressure from the Perikatan Nasional government.

5. Gombak voters suing their MP Azmin Ali told the court that Azmin cannot use sexual allegations involving Anwar Ibrahim as a defence.

6. Deputy Federal Territories Minister Edmund Santhara said he had been on leave in New Zealand because his wife there has not been well and is considering legal action against those who have made misleading claims about his trip.

7. Parti Pejuang Tanahair (Pejuang) has gone to court again over its bid to be officially registered as a political party, this time targeting Home Minister Hamzah Zainuddin’s alleged failure to make any decision over its appeal to be registered as a political party.

8. The Federal Court unanimously ruled that Permatang Pauh MP Nurul Izzah Anwar and PKR did not defame National Feedlot Corporation and its chairperson Mohamad Salleh Ismail.

9. Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng said the authorities should break their silence on the alleged involvement of former Bank Negara governor Zeti Akthar Aziz’s family members in the 1MDB scandal.

10. Police have questioned Klang MP Charles Santiago and Malaysiakini editor-in-chief Steven Gan over remarks concerning the Federal Court's verdict against the news portal.
