1. Kuala Langat MP Dr Xavier Jayakumar quit PKR to support the Perikatan Nasional government, citing the need for stability.

2. Sungai Buloh MP Sivarasa Rasiah said Xavier was pressured to jump by selective MACC investigations against him.

3. PKR vice-president Tian Chua said PN's tactics to hold on to power were not sustainable and urged the government to engage all political parties for consultation.

4. Meanwhile, Azmin Ali and Annuar Musa hinted there would be more defections coming.

5. DAP has sacked eight members in Perak for aligning with PN.

9. The new Malaysian Bar leadership said it was committed to addressing allegations of sexual harassment within the legal profession by strengthening its internal complaints mechanism.

10. The Bar Council has been mandated to take any and all steps that it deems necessary regarding the proclamation of emergency and the emergency ordinances.
