Proposal to introduce new investment policy in final stage - Azmin

The proposal to introduce a new national investment policy to attract more high-quality investments into the country is in the final stage of preparation before it is presented to the cabinet, said Senior Minister Azmin Ali.

Azmin, who is also the international trade and industry minister, said the matter was the outcome of discussions between his ministry through the Malaysia Investment Development Authority with Bank Negara Malaysia and the Finance Ministry.

"In the next few weeks, we hope to get an endorsement for this (proposal)," he told a press conference today...
