Citigroup to exit Malaysia, 12 other consumer banking markets

Citigroup Inc intends to exit from its consumer franchises in 13 markets, including Malaysia.

In a statement today, its CEO Jane Fraser said the bank would operate the consumer banking franchise in Asia and Europe, the Middle East, and Africa solely from Singapore, Hong Kong, the United Arab Emirates, and London.
