A 21-year-old held under a law that allows for detention without trial has reportedly died in Kluang Hospital, Johor, weeks after being moved to the Simpang Renggam prison.
According to a Free Malaysia Today article citing a police report lodged by a prison official, the official claimed a doctor at the hospital said Surendran Shanker had died of “septic shock with multiple organ failure”.
