WFH: Proposal to authorise Manpower Department to act against errant employers

The proposal to give the Manpower Department the authority to take action against employers who violate the work from home rules will be brought to the National Security Council (NSC) meeting today.

Human Resources Minister M Saravanan said under Act 342, only the Ministry of Health (MOH) has the power to act against employers who violate the standard operating procedures (SOP).
