Parliament speaker slams selective critics of emergency

Parliament speaker Azhar Azizan Harun has blasted those calling for Parliament to reconvene, saying that many who are criticising the current emergency appeared to be selective in their defence of the Federal Constitution in order to score political points.

Writing for news portal MalaysiaNow, he said the critics appear not to comprehend the concept of division of powers, as enshrined in the Constitution.
