Zahid immune from prosecution, court told

The High Court in Kuala Lumpur was told today that Ahmad Zahid Hamidi is immune from prosecution because all the information about transactions relating to his family-run Yayasan Akalbudi (YAB) charity foundation had been disclosed by the former deputy prime minister.

Counsel Hisyam Teh Poh Teik, who is representing Zahid (above), said the accused is claiming immunity from prosecution under Section 30(7) of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Act.
