Minister: Unemployment rate drops to 4.8pct in second quarter of 2021

PARLIAMENT | The unemployment rate in Malaysia dropped 0.3 percent to 4.8 percent in the second quarter of 2021 compared to 5.1 per cent recorded in the corresponding period last year, Dewan Rakyat was told today.

Human Resources Minister M Saravanan said Labuan and Sabah recorded an unemployment rate of more than eight percent, namely at 8.8 percent and 8.7 percent, respectively.
