Unesco recognises Bukit Bendera as biosphere reserve - Takiyuddin

Penang’s Bukit Bendera was yesterday recognised as a biosphere reserve by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco).

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Takiyuddin Hassan said the announcement was made at a meeting of the International Coordinating Council of the 33rd Session of the International Coordinating Council of the Man and the Biosphere Programme (ICC MAB).
