Minister to table cybersecurity law to cabinet next week
PARLIAMENT | Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department in charge of Special Functions Abdul Latiff Ahmad said he will be tabling a cabinet memorandum next week on a law specifically dealing with cybersecurity in the country.
He said this to Wong Shu Qi (Pakatan Harapan-Kluang), who had previously expressed concern over an alleged attempt to sell 31.8GB worth of personal data originating from the National Registration Department (NRD) and the Inland Revenue Board (IRB) on a hacker forum.
