Audit Report: Mindef incurred RM10.30m losses in rental revenue

Weak management of revenue from land and building rental has been identified as the cause behind losses of RM10.30 million in rental revenue incurred by the Ministry of Defence (Mindef), according to the Auditor-General’s Report 2020.

According to a report released today, Perwira Niaga Malaysia (Pernama), which occupies 139 Mindef premises to conduct retail business in military camps, failed to pay a total of RM1.31 million in rent after the lease period of the premises expired on May 31, 2014.
