Cops confirm probe against Morib rep after ex-wife alleges assault

Police have confirmed initiating investigations against Morib assemblyperson Hasnul Baharuddin based on a report lodged by a woman identified as his ex-wife, Juliani Jalilah Abdullah, over an alleged assault.

When contacted, Kuala Langat district police chief Ahmad Ridhwan Mohd Nor today said Hasnul is being probed under Section 323 of the Penal Code for voluntarily causing hurt, as well as under the Domestic Violence Act 2017.
