M'sia reduces HIV cases through prevention, treatment efforts - KJ

Malaysia has successfully reduced the number of new HIV cases to 3,146 in 2020, or 9.31 cases per 100,000 population, through various prevention, control, treatment and care efforts implemented by the government over the past three decades.

Health Minister Khairy Jamaluddin said this was a drop of 66 percent compared to 2002 which recorded the highest number of new HIV cases at 6,978 or 28.5 cases per 100,000 population...
