Perak follows logging rules in permanent forest reserves - MB

Forest harvesting activities in Perak are only implemented in permanent forest reserve areas classified as production forests based on the annual felling ration set by the National Land Council (NLC).

Menteri Besar Saarani Mohamad said for the 12th Malaysia Plan (2021 to 2025), the felling ration approved was 33,000ha or at a rate of 6,600ha per year, while for 2019, it was 8,058ha, 2020 (6,642ha) and 2021 (5,337ha).
