This article is 3 years old

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 3,528 new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the cumulative infections to 2,735,241.

The fresh infections were surpassed by a total of 4,489 Covid-19 patients who recovered today. This is expected to help reduce the number of active cases.

Nationwide, the R-number is below 1.00 as of yesterday, with the overall number being at 0.90.

As long as it stays below 1.00, it suggests that the spread of Covid-19 was decelerating.

  • Patients in ICU: 339
  • Intubated: 180

As of today, the number of Covid-19 patients (including suspected ones) in the intensive care unit (ICU) is 15.2 percent lower compared to a week ago.

Those who require intubation have also declined by 9.1 percent from a week ago.

Nationally, the number of hospital admissions of confirmed Covid-19 patients in the last seven days have declined by 18.1 percent compared to the preceding week.

To date, 229 Covid-19 clusters are still active, including four new clusters reported today.

The ongoing clusters have fallen by 10.9 percent from the 257 active clusters a week ago.
