COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 3,160 new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the cumulative infections to 2,738,401.

The national R-number dropped to 0.89 as of yesterday, while in Terengganu it rose to 1.00.

As long as it stays below 1.00, it suggests that the spread of Covid-19 was decelerating.

The fresh infections today were surpassed by a total of 4,421 Covid-19 patients who recovered today. This is expected to help reduce the number of active cases.

  • Patients in ICU: 324
  • Intubated: 175

Nationally, the number of hospital admissions of confirmed Covid-19 patients in the last seven days has declined by 17.3 percent compared to the preceding week.
