Covid-19 (Dec 27): 2,757 cases

COVID-19 | The Health Ministry reported 2,757 new Covid-19 cases today, bringing the cumulative infections to 2,743,936.

As of Dec 25, Malaysia has been on a six-week downtrend based on weekly new cases.

There were 22,554 new infections in the latest epidemiological week. The R-naught at 0.88 is also on a steady downtrend.

The number of hospital admissions of Covid-19 patients in the last seven days has declined by 16.1 percent compared to the preceding week.

New cases according to states will only be published after midnight. These are the figures for yesterday (Dec 26), where 2,778 new cases were reported:
