Cops sued over 'wrongful' arrests at Covid-19 vigil in August
Sixteen participants who were arrested in a vigil in memory of those who died of Covid-19, today filed a civil suit against the police for wrongful arrest against them.
The plaintiffs' lawyer New Sin Yew said they were seeking a court declaration that their rights as stipulated under the Federal Constitution were violated during the Aug 19 gathering.
