Sarawak MTUC fumes over opposition to minimum wage increase
Sarawak MTUC secretary Andrew Lo has expressed sadness and frustration over the manner in which business leaders in the country have leapt to oppose minimum wage increases.
He told Malaysiankini that the Malaysian Employers Federation (MEF), Federation of Malaysian Manufacturers (FMM), and Sarawak Housing and Real Estate Developers' Association (Sheda) were adopting antiquated policies.
He said these business leaders expressed myopic views when opposing minimum wage increases which have been announced by Human Resources Minister M Saravanan.
