Anwar tells of anti-reform bankrollers who sank his PM bid
This article is 3 years old
Editor's note: An earlier version of this article made an erroneous reference to former prime minister Najib Abdul Razak with regard to the Pandora Papers. The regretted oversight has been corrected.
Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim claimed there are figures that are bankrolling certain political parties in the country in order to stall anti-corruption reforms.
He did not mention names but added that if it was not for his refusal to compromise with these people, he would have become prime minister.
