Malaysiakini bags three silver prizes at MPI media awards

Malaysiakini has won second place in three different categories at the MPI-Petronas Malaysian Journalism Awards 2021 announced today.

For the ‘Excellence in Investigative Reporting’ category, the news portal was awarded for its series of three reports on the Lynas permanent disposal facility and the project’s link to the Pahang palace.

The reports were titled “Company linked to royalty in Lynas' waste disposal site project”, “Lynas EIA seeks to exorcise 40-year-old Bukit Merah spectre”, and “Pahang regent back as top shareholder in firm building Lynas PDF”.
