Deposit not needed from Mongolian rape survivor, suit against cop stays

The Court of Appeal has overturned a Kuala Lumpur High Court decision to impose an RM70,000 deposit against a Mongolian national who is suing her alleged rapist.
In a statement today, the plaintiff's legal firm Thomas Philip Advocates and Solicitors said case management for the civil suit can now proceed at the Kuala Lumpur High Court on July 15.
