Kedah MB says no evidence durian plantation caused flooding

Energy and Natural Resources Minister Takiyuddin Hassan confirmed there is a 52-acre forest plantation in the Gunung Irau Forest Reserve, upstream from yesterday's devastating floods near Baling, which have killed at least three people.

However, he said, there is no active logging in the area, which some have speculated to be the cause for what residents described as the worst ever floods there.
